Day 19: November 12th

Last night when we were in our bamboo bungalows we spotted two rats running around. There were also mosquitos everywhere inside the bungalow because there are holes and cracks everywhere. Thank goodness for the mosquito netting. Today we decided to not spend money to much money and have a chill day. We ate breakfast at the resort and then went for a walk. We got on Skype and talked to Bruce’s parents for a while. There isn’t much to do around our resort so we hailed a Tuk Tuk 2.0 (according to the boys) and had him take us to the next beach. He took us to long beach which really didn’t look that great after all. The whole place seemed pretty dirty and the water looked pretty murky. Nothing yet seems to match up to out Koh Samui spot lol. We decided to walk back and save our selves the money as well as get some sun and exercise. Brent wasn’t the biggest fan of walking back so the whole way back he continued to flag down the Tuk Tuks and then Bruce and I would deliver the bad news that we didn’t want a ride after all. Bruce had spotted a place called the Pad Thai House that sounded really good so we kept our mind on that as we walked. We finally got to the restaurant only to find out that they were still in construction stage and wouldn’t be opening for another 7 days lol. Thankfully there was another little restaurant right down the road that ended up being quite the hit.  It appeared to be a local hot spot, which was comforting. I got fried rice and chicken (amazing), Bruce got Green Curry and Brent decided to go all out and get a ham cheese sandwich. J After lunch we stopped by and bought our tickets to Phuket to go pick up John. We ate dinner at a little restaurant right next to the resort and decided we liked it enough to eat there for breakfast tomorrow before we took off.
